About Me
Welcome! I’m Wendy Sharpless, founder of Redwood Counseling, LLC, providing telehealth across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, as well as in-person therapy in Bloomsburg, PA. I specialize in helping adolescents and adults (ages 16–60) navigate complex trauma, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and emotional regulation challenges.
Healing happens when your body and nervous system learn that safety is possible again. I offer compassionate, trauma-informed care focused on helping you process past experiences and build practical skills for daily life.
Therapeutic Approach
I tailor sessions using evidence-based modalities:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): Helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories to reduce their emotional intensity and impact.
Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT): Structured support to safely process trauma and reduce PTSD symptoms.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Practical tools for mindfulness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance.
Neuropsychotherapy: Science-backed insights into how your brain and nervous system respond to stress.
